I love shrimp, always have. There is so many amazing recipes out there but I like to keep mine very simple 🙂 I like things to be easy and colorful. I want to share my easy peasy recipe that I can make in under 5 min 🙂
- wild shrimp is best
- lime or lime juice
- pepper flakes
All I do is remove the shrimp the night before from the freezer and place it in the fridge. Next morning I just simply rinse it off and put it in a ziplock bag to marinate. For my marinade I use salt, pepper and lime juice. Just a squeeze of 1/2 a lime will do 🙂 That’s it. I will let it marinade in the fridge all day until it’s time for dinner.
Heat olive oil or butter in a heavy skillet over high heat until its hot. Place shrimp in an even layer on the bottom of the pan and cook for 1 minute without stirring.
Stir in garlic and red pepper flakes (optional) cook and stir 1 minute. Feel free to add some more lime juice and about 1 tbs of fresh or dried parsley.
Cook additional 1 minute 🙂 Remove shrimp with a slotted spoon and transfer to a bowl. Serve immediately 🙂
